1st Week Completed At New Job

I’ve been in Florida for almost 2 weeks now and just finished my 1st week at my new job.  Already I’m noticing the difference in Florida compared to Indiana.  The large company that I work for is the most laid back company ever. I thought I had worked at flexible companies but this company sets a new definition of laid back). Finally I have a job that makes me feel more at easy than any other job.

Reasons  Why I Will Never Go Back To Indiana

  • Indiana is like a 3rd world Country – People will think nothing of driving junk $250 cars. Many people don’t value education. People just don’t see the world outside of there immediate region. People get married really young (I’ve seen people 23 or 24 with 5 year olds.  It’s very common).
  • It’s just too dam boring – I’ve driven though Indiana and Kentucky. The only thing resembling real cities are Louisville and Indianapolis. If you want to go for a drive you better have a plan because these states are really rural. Interstate 65 in Indiana and Kentucky are some of the ugliest highways you will ever drive on. They’re some exceptions to the rule but you get my point.
  • It’s almost impossible for a single person to meet anyone. If your in your mid – late 20′s and don’t have a kid or never been married many people think there’s something wrong with that and will avoid you. It’s more complicated than that but you get the point.
  • Rednecks Are Very Common – I’ve always been told since I was younger about the stereotypes. The truth is after living in Southern Indiana for 2 years the stereotype fits some of the time (25-30% of people). Even so called educated people I have run into fit into what I call an urbanite redneck (city folk who have redneck tendencies).
