The Adventure Of Consulting
I am thankful to have had the experience of being both a permanent employee as well as a consultant. During those times I have come to the fast and hard rule. You really never know what to expect on the job. Every job and every project is totally different.
That’s really the way it is.
Being a consultant you get to experience a lot of different types of industries and work environments. I have worked in many different industries including government, telecom, and travel. I have worked for redneck companies that micromanage there employees to Fortune 500 companies that are totally laid back for example. Going on a new job is truly a adventure in itself.
If I had the opportunity to go back and make the choice to consult again I would do it all again. The experiences I have gotten I would not give up for anything. I have had the opportunity to see just how different parts of the US truly are. The best experience I have had recently was to finally live in the state of Florida which I have wanted to live in for years.
This is why consulting has truly been an adventure for me.
