Lost Job Got Perm Job!
Good afternoon, it has been awhile since my last post. Since I last posted I again lost my job. The good news is that I found a permanent job within a week of loosing my contract. It gets even better that the job is in Tampa. What more could I ask for? A permanent job with a good salary in a highly desirable location where most people would love to work in.
I’m so lucky to have such a large professional network of headhuters in the state of Florida. To all those people that don’t have a need for LinkedIn you can and easily loose your job very quickly.Loosing your job and attempting to build a network is a bad thing. Build a large network while you still have a job. By doing this you can easily and quickly find a new job if something happens.
I remember just a few years ago I felt trapped working for a company in Southern Indiana and was miserable. The problem was that simply that I knew little about how to target my job search to the locations that I wanted to work. A experienced and skilled developer should be able to work in any location they want within reason as long as they have a large professional network.
