New Version Of Eclipse Called Indigo Released
Eclipse the hottest IDE tool out there just came out with their annual version. The new version is called Eclipse Indigo and contains many new features including:
- Xtext 2.0 makes it even easier to create domain specific languages.
- EGit 1.0 provides tight integration with the Git version control system.
- WindowBuilder, a popular GUI builder for Eclipse developers, is now open source and part of Indigo
- Drag to Install support with Eclipse Marketplace Client.
- Better integration with Maven, including starting Maven builds and maintaining pom files.
It’s hard to believe that such a great tool keeps getting better and better with each release. I really like the look of the WindowBuilder feature. It looks like a nice way to build a GUI. Now I wonder what new features will be in next year’s release?
