Think Twice Before Adding A Recruiter To Your Facebook
You should think twice before adding a recruiter to your Facebook account. I would like to discuss a recent experience I had with a local recruiter here. A recruiter sent out his Facebook page regarding local job openings. I have absolutely zero issues with this except adding the recruiter as a friend on my personal account. I agree the Facebook page can be nice nice but I would never add him as a friend on my personal account for one very important reason:
- It Mixes Personal and Business Life: These two things should never ever mix. Do you really want private photographs meant for friends and family to be seen by a complete stranger? How about the recruiter knowing your hobbies, likes, and dislikes? If there is anything about you that the recruiter does not like you may very well blow your chances at a job. You really should be cautious on what you share and who you share it to.
If you absolutely need or want to add the recruiter trying getting a separate business Facebook account.
